Well things did not go as planned and it's been a lot longer than planned trying to finish my house. However the end is in sight. If nothing goes wrong I will have an occupancy certificate within two weeks. Then we can slowly start moving things over. However due to a part time job I now have my time to spend working on the house has been cut in half. I am now guessing the shop will not be cleared out until the end of the summer. Therefore the ability to work on the machinery will need to wait until the fall i believe. I really hoped this would not be the case but it is what it is. Sorry to those who were following this but once we do get setup I will continue this blog with the story of the Hardinge lathes.

This will follow the project of restoring 1917 Hardinge Cataract Lathe back to working condition. As well any tooling needed will be discussed as well

Just another little note. My house building is taking longer than expected, so for now the new shop/garage is full of all my possessions and cannot be used as a shop. Therefore I am unable to continue working on restoring my machinery. I am at the stage of installing drywall in the house so if all goes well I might be able to move into the house under an occupancy certificate around the end of March. This means most of my stuff should be able to be moved into the house then and therefore free up the shop. I'll update you late in March when I will get back to working on my lathes.
Thanks for following see you later.
